Minimalism

So I updated my iPhone.

I'm already sick of reading articles about iOS7 or flat design..actually I already got bored with flat design.

On the first page of my iPhone, the app "Ad Today" looks like isolated and miserable just because it still follows skeuomorphism.  BBC News also looks excluded, but it's still fine because of the font "Gill Sans" maybe?

Although I don't really like the flat design on my iPhone, I still like Minimalism arts.

Definition from Wikipedia

Minimalism: Minimalism describes movements in various forms of art and design, especially visual art and music, wherein artists intend to expose the essence or identity of a subject through eliminating all non-essential forms, features or concepts. Minimalism is any design or style wherein the simplest and fewest elements are used to create the maximum effect.

Minimalistic design has been highly influenced by Japanese traditional design and architecture . The work of De Stijl artists is a major source of reference for such work: De Stijl expanded the ideas that could be expressed by very particularly organizing such basic elements as lines and planes - I didn't know that!

Although some of them are hard to identify what they are, I think they got the point.
